Christmas Shopping
After and Before Thanksgiving
December 2, 2020
Before Thanksgiving sales and after Thanksgiving sales. Black Friday's and Cyber Monday's. I've placed many online orders even before Thanksgiving. I haven't done any Christmas shopping in the stores at all. It sounds like I bought a lot of stuff. Actually, most where small items but even at 5.00, 10.00 each it adds up. Yes, like most people I went a little over budget of what I planned but I think I will manage the extra expense. It's so easy to look at everything online, want it and buy it.
The daily packages are fun but I would have rathered they shipped it all at one time instead of all the small items individually. I'm sure that the carriers would have rathered it be done that way also. Less trips to the same address.
Love Belks for the sheets and half off quilt sets. I can use these when I get a new place and some now.
I bought stuff for myself which is a good time of year to do so because of the sales saves a lot of money down the road.
Some family came on Thanksgiving while others didn't. Most did small dinners at home with their kids instead of a huge gathering. But, we still have some come here also for dinner. It was more relaxed this year with fewer people it wasn't as hard preparing.
All of us appear to have survived without contracting Covid19. My step niece contracted Covid19 before Thanksgiving and is recovering ok. She was in quarantine and couldn't come to dinner. We sent some over to her house anyway.
Mom's cleaning and sorting out the dishes in the cabinets, organizing and making room. Planning on putting up a Christmas tree soon. Already preparing for Christmas dinner.
Had about an inch of snow yesterday that helped boost Mom's mood and put her in the Christmas Spirit. A little snow left today but most has already melted. Catchem my cat, doesn't like the snow on his paws but he manages to not want to come back inside the boring house and dodges me when I try to pick him up.
Will post some pictures at Christmas hopefully.
