Catchem
My Kitten 10/17/2019
The stray cat (named Catchem) that came to me back in late spring is growing and doing very well. He has been a big help while I was bed fast keeping me company. Maybe he was sent from God for me to help him and for him to help me. I thought I was saving his life but he has been just as beneficial to me also. Would have been very lonely laying there without him purring and keeping me kinda busy watching out for him from bed. Even though I had several visits a day from mom bringing me breakfast, lunch and dinner. A few trips between to help wash my hair etc.
(Note: You know the bed side toilet chair for the disabled? I bought one but because I was unable to sit on it I couldn't use it. But, I found an excellent use. Lay on your back in the bed with you head hanging off the side over the pot, then your care taker can wash and rinse your hair into the pot. LOL yes it was clean of course and unused. She used a small bucket with water to rinse and wash. It worked out pretty well.) The height of the bed side toilet chair matched well with the height of my bed and supported my neck. But, wrapping a towel around the base of my neck to the front of body and holding with my hands also helped to support my neck. Getting your hair washed does make you feel a lot better. The dry shampoo I didn't try but a good shampooing was nice.
I had composed some poems about catchem but at this time its difficult to type about because I'm not feeling well and at the time I hadn't wrote them down basically just thought of them inside my head. Some was pretty funny. Need to keep a pen and paper handy when I have those ideas.
The name Catchem works pretty good for him because he loves to hunt and chase butterfly's that was on some of my flowers this year. He's very good at climbing tree's also. He even lept from a tree over to my roof. I heard something walking around on my roof thinking it was some of the local morons but when I looked it was Catchem to my surprise. It was at night. Then I turned on my front porch light and found another surprise. First I seen a possum eating from Catchems outside food bowl. So, I ran him off. Put the food bowl on top the table on my porch. Them I was trying to coach Catchem off the roof came back inside to get a flash light and when I went back out the front door there was a huge racoon now eating from the bowl. No wonder Catchem was on the roof. That racoon was bigger than him. But, Catchem finally jumped down and landed on the table right in front of that big Racoon. Right as he jumped I opened the metal screen door made a noise and off rain the Racoon. Glad it did because it probably would have torn Catchem all to pieces. If I only had my camera at that time. It all happened pretty quickly.
See even a little orange domestic tabby can bring adventure, entertainment and joy to your life. Not to mention its nice to have something to care about and for. Without a lot of worry like you would have from human friends. LOL. They can be comical also. They are great company to have around even though you have to clean the litter box, push them off your lap sometimes and try to skat them off your bed, your dresser top, your tables, even the tv. He does keep me busy picking up things he knocks off of shelfs. But he's fun to.
