A New Spring Season Awaits
As you can tell I've gotten side track from my blogs since October. A new spring season is nearing the beginning and hopefully a new spring season of blog posts.
As I think about my plans for this year......Oh by the way Happy Late New Year! I have some of the same things planed to do as last year. Boring right! I've already pre-ordered my ticket to this years Bristol Rhythem and Roots Festival which isn't until September but saved a few bucks on the advanced purchased. Marked my calendars for the Elizabethton Covered Bridge Celebration and the Rhododendron Festival on Roan Mountain.
I've already been on a few "River Runs" and up to the TVA Dam. Guess what the featured bird has already started out to be this year .... The Great Blue Heron. But, I shouldn't leave out the baffle head ducks either. I suppose those are the local birds same as last year. I've already submitted several e-bird counts for the Cornell Labs this year. One of the more exciting birds I've seen already was a Bald Eagle. I was driving so no picture. As I was driving looked up seen this huge wing span thinking most likely another turkey vulture but then seen the white head and yep most definatley a bald eagle. I did a quick turn around came back to where I seen it and it was to late to get a picture.
One new thing I'm going to do that I haven't done in many years is actually go on a vacation to Myrtle Beach. I'm looking forward to it even if its only for a few days. Think about it most everyday. Planing on saving money for the trip and things I need to do. Bought some new summer clothes to take with me. The drive will be a long drive that I haven't done before at least that far. Will need lots of breaks to stretch my legs so I won't get to stiff.
I hope this coming summer I will be more healthy and able to enjoy the few events I have planned.
I've had pnuemonia that lasted like forever. At least it felt that way and so did mom. I went through three rounds of antibiotics and mom two rounds of antibiotics. One thing I've noticed health wise is that my legs hurt a lot more than last year. Usually early in the morning when I wake up and try to get out of bed along with my back. I'm still going to keep my plans despite that fact. One of the things I hope will help my health situation is walking at the TVA dam and going fishing those outings should help keep me moving a little bit. Yes, bought a fishing license this year complete with trout stamp. Mom can get a free fishing license for senoirs. So, I hope she will be going with me sometimes.
Still having problem with my neighbors. I shouldn't but I have started calling them the "the local morons". I don't understand why and probably will never understand and hope that I don't understand why because that would mean I'm starting to think like them. I really cant understand why or how they could be so cruel or what motivates them to waist their time the way they do year after year the same non sense. I actually wonder if they are on meth or crack something like that. Because their behavoir is bizarr and really abnormal and dysfunctional. Ok, my venting over with on here for now.
I still struggle with everyday things and that hasn't changed much. Despite the obstacles put in my way I still try to enjoy my life the best I can. Also, putting forth the effort to spend some fun time with my mom. I think in our aging years that has become more important at this point. Family is the most important thing. Sometimes, I feel like I've waisted a lot of time in my life also that I shouldn't have. Didn't take the time to enjoy the good things. Not talking about money but the things that really matter. Maybe, the "local morons" hasn't mature enough to understand that. They should have by now because most of them are not spring chickens anymore themselves. That makes it all the more sad and dysfunctional.
I hope my blog for the coming year is not filled with the same type of posts but filled with newly created happy memories and occasions.
Next post soon..... well maybe.... lol.
Happy Spring!
Think of the law of attraction. Think of what you want, not of what you don't want. Also, wish for others what you would wish for yourself. If there is something your neighbors do not understand, wish upon them that they will understand. Also, can you help them with that?
