Got up this morning picked the cucumbers and put them in a plastic bag for mom. Set on the back porch for a while and watch all the birds on my maple tree. I'm thinking my maple tree should be called the tree of wild life. This year alone I've enjoyed watching baby squirrels and a vast numbers of birds right from my back porch. Today, I saw downy woodpeckers, eastern towee's, fenches, wren's, robins, starlings, mocking bird, and one I couldn't identify.
Got inspired from all the bird's that I went on my usually ride around the river in search for more birds. When I arrived at the parking area/boat ramp I was greeted by a black shih tzu. I was wondering who the dog belonged to and walked around asking. It didn't belong to the people around there but then a lady walked through and said it belonged to a man that lived down the road. He was cute and went on a hike with me even though I told him to stay. So, today I had a hiking buddy. Later, I heard the owner of the dog calling for him. I suppose he went on home and I continued my walked around the river.
I seen two great blue herons around the river then when I went up to the TVA Dam I saw another one.
Most of my pictures today was of the great blue herons.
My garden is doing pretty good. You remember my landscaping project from early spring? Well, my raised flower bed that turned into vegetable garden is now over flowing. When all my tomatoes turn ripe I don't know what I'm going to do with all of them. I suppose I can some to my neighbor's.
The rest of the day I was harassed by some of the neighbors. At least I had some fun this morning. Note some of the pictures out of order due to glitchy blog today.
